Mapo Tofu

A famous Sichuan dish with soft tofu and ground meat cooked in a spicy, numbing sauce made from Sichuan peppercorns and chili. It’s fiery, bold, and perfect for those who love intense flavors.

Ingredient

300g Tender tofu, 50g minced beef, minced garlic to taste, 1 tbsp chili sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp cooking wine, salt to taste

Method

    Chop tender tofu and marinate minced beef with cooking wine and light soy sauce.


    Heat up a wok with oil, saute minced garlic and chilli paste, add minced beef and fry until it changes color.


    Pour in tofu cubes, add appropriate amount of water, simmer for 5 minutes, add salt.
